Originally grabbed thinking it was a Sega shifter, this appears to be a more generic type.
It appears to be the same kind used on Ridge Racer upright cabinets.

It was originally seized up but some cleaning and WD40 has got this working again, it now clunks nicely between hi and lo gear, the microswitch is all good.

The top panel needs the overlay replacing (so it could be replaced with a different design depending on what you need).
